This year we are really moving with the times and have been downgrading the scale of equipment needed to make great visuals. Technology is moving so fast that in some cases there is just no need for a truck full of kit, it just adds cost and more staff needed to lug it around. Actors often feel that cameras need to be huge on set too, but as time goes on this opinion is changing.
Streamlining is the way forward, bringing the best technology together in the most portable way. Especially for independent movie making, you can still achieve cinematic quality to the visuals with smaller cameras and rigs.
